My First Monarch Adventure
Jay went to Monarch and had an awesome day! With a weekday off from cranking out tunes and a haphazard plan with a buddy, I woke up at the traditional time the average Denverite gets up to go ski at one of the "metro resorts" (7:00 am) and burned rubber down 285 instead of I-70. I wasn't headed toward the tunnel or the traffic that backs up near Idaho Springs; I was going to Monarch, an easily accessible mountain right outside of Salida. The drive was absolutely beautiful. When you go make sure to pay extra attention to the...
The EMS Group Ride
On Sunday we held our first group ride at the iconic Elk Meadow! We had an excellent turnout with a few of us riding fat bikes from Borealis for the first time. We started rolling and made our way up the trail. After a few minutes of climbing we took a much needed breather. Of course he sent all of the gnarly sections and even got...
Hala Rado & Radito Review

With a new compliment of whitewater SUPs at our disposal, matched with a sadistic desire for dawn patrol runs we’ve been able to put the new fleet through the wringer. Our whitewater boards this year consists of a Hala Atcha 9’6, Hala Rado, Hala Radito, Hala Daze, and a DSP Rocky Mountain Slayer. As the season progresses, we’ll attempt to get a review out...
Steamboat Play Day
5:00 AM the alarm clock goes off... Snooze button.... 5:05 and snooze.... 5:10, "ugg, alright lets go..." This is me in the morning. I pull into the EMS parking lot around 6:20 to meet up with Bogs and Paul and off we go to Steamboat. The drive to Steamboat took us roughly 2 hours and some change but it was scenic and beautiful. This was my first time in Steamboat and it felt like home! What an amazing mountain town! Our first stop was at Hala to say hello to our friends there. From there, it was off to park...
